This lively and dynamic living-dining room used to be a narrow and long uncomfortable space before the renovation
A long and narrow room is always a challenge for a designer. The task becomes even more complicated if such a room is a living room. But for a talented designer like Magnus Olsson there’s nothing impossible! Let’s have a look at this long and narrow living room renovation with IKEA furniture.
The room was decorated with a minimalist approach, which is typical for Swedish interiors. All the walls were painted white, and only one wall was done in brown – the wall which marks the dining space. Such a combo was made to avoid that narrow look and still keep the room spacious. The sofa is snow white Stockholm, it adds softness and volume to the space. Black and white combos add dynamics to the space and connect to parts of the room together.
Most of the furniture is white because this color visually expands the space and is a great backdrop for various bright and colorful accents. You can see wooden furniture – a buffet, shelving that add the texture of untreated wood to the space. They are complemented with a wicker chair and lampshade.
