There’s something very charming and enjoyable about tiny houses and about small spaces in general, especially when they’re decorated in a rustic or vintage style. The Archway is a perfect combination of both.
From the outside this tiny house is reminiscent of rustic log cabins
This rustic little house was designed by Tiny Heirloom and, from the outside, it features horizontal wood siding and dark trims around the windows and the door which match the roof and the trailer. The slight difference in color between the top section of the exterior walls and the rest adds depth to the design and differentiates the loft area from the main floor in a subtle way.
The kitchen is small but fully functional and equipped with all basic appliancesThe bathroom is positioned at the back of the house behind a sliding barn door
The interior of this tiny house is, as expected, packed with cool and useful features. The floor plan is limited and yet there’s plenty of space for all the basic features like a cozy seating nook, a small dining table setup, a functional kitchen, a bathroom, two loft areas that can be turned into bedrooms and even a little nook for a pet to chill in.
At the other end of the floor plan is a multipurpose seating nook which can also be used as a sleeping area
There’s two loft separate loft spaces, one above the seating nook at one end of the house and the other one on the opposite side, above the bathroom. These are multifunctional and can be used for storage or as sleeping areas since they can both accommodate twin mattresses. The flat roof makes helps these spaces look open and airy.
The bathroom features a very stylish, antique-style vanity with a small vessel sink
As for the main floor area, although it’s very limited, the way in which it’s all organized makes this house look and feel very cozy and welcoming. The interior design is also a clever combination of rustic and modern influences. The sliding barn door, the turquoise kitchen cabinetry and the ornate bathroom vanity are some of the elements which reinforce this classic combo.
On the wall opposite to the kitchen is a small fold-down tableThere’s even a small open nook at the bottom of this cabinet which can be turned into a pet bedThe roof has an almost unperceivable slope which prevents the rainwater from forming puddles on topThe two-tone wood siding gives the house a strong rustic vibe reminiscent of log cabinsAlthough tiny, this house is very versatile and can even become a permanent residence
