This teen entertainment room has a large skate bowl inspired by a skate park in London
I’m sure that you’ve seen many hang out rooms for teens, and most of them look like a small space or a former garage with a TV and a couple of bean bag chairs. This space is none of that kind, and I offer you to have a look
The teenager that lives in this South African home has an entertainment room that would make Tony Hawk proud. Inhouse Brand Architects outfitted the space with a concrete skate bowl, inspired by a skate park in London, according to Visi Magazine. The design team amped up the wow factor with custom artwork by street artist Jack Fox covering the walls.
An adjacent kitchenette creates a place to cool off or grab snacks. As an added bonus, the industrial black shelves that line the back wall have a rack for storing surf boards.
Any good entertainment room must have a great TV area. This one is no exception. The design team mounted the television on a sculptural addition that resembles a wave emanating from the wall. Warm timber planks line the steel frame, giving the space a surf shop feel.
A patchwork of blue panels that line a comfy nook on the side of this wave creation. This built-in sitting area looks like a great place to crash after a long day in the sun. To top off the space, the design team included a pool table and punching bag for boxing practice.
