Having trouble deciding what room color to choose for your home’s interior décor? Simplythinking of the colors you love is not always enough. Those room colors can influence our mood and our thoughts.Try instead to think of the mood you’re trying to create and then choose the right color.
Black is a powerful color but it’s also elegant and simple. It may be too dark for rooms like the bedroom or the living area but it would be a very good choice for the home office. Still, make sure there’s plenty of light in there.
White is an extremely versatile color but it’s also minimalist. If you prefer the rooms to feel dynamic and to be eye-catching, then you should look for something different. But if you want the space to look bright, clean and simple, white is your best option.
Brown is the perfect color if you want to add an earthy feel to your home. It’s warm and it has an elegant feel, perfect for rustic interiors. It’s also a perfect color for a man’s apartment because it’s sober and powerful yet comforting.
Pink is, in my opinion, a difficult color. It’s perceived as being girly and most people stay away from it but there are, in fact, lots of different shades of pink, some of which are actually very chic. In any case, pink remains a lovely color for a nursery.
Because blue is a cold color and because it’s reminiscent of the sky and water, it’s usually used in bathrooms. Soft shades of blue can also be ok for the bedroom. Turquoise is not exactly blue but it’s a very chic color which, when combined with white, looks amazing.
In case you didn’t know this, purple is an aphrodisiac color and this makes it perfect for the bedroom. It’s also a color that looks great in modern and contemporary decors and works well when combined with gray.
Few colors are as fresh and vibrant as green. Also, green is a very calming and relaxing color, although it may seem like it. Use it in the bedroom or in the living room but in small amounts, as an accent shade.
Red is the color of passion and it’s also a very energizing shade. It’s great for entertainment areas like the living room. However, use it with measure because it can easily become overwhelming.
Orange is a very warm and welcoming color so it’s surprising it’s not more popular. It’s a perfect color for the living room where it makes guests feel like home. Of course, you can also use it in the kitchen or dining room, which are also social spaces.
Yellow is a very cheerful and also a very eye-catching color. It should be only used as an accent color so you could have a yellow area rug, yellow carpets or other type of accessories. Painting the walls yellow is usually not a great idea.
