Yellow is such a fun and beautiful color. It’s the color and the sun and it brightens up any interior, no matter now dull it is. This also makes it a perfect color for the living room. Yellow living room designs are very beautiful and they are great especially during the summer. Of course, they would also be a constant reminder of the sunny days. Now let’s see how exactly we can use yellow in the living room during the redecoration process.

You could use some outdoor inspiration for your living room and this means you can recreate the natural décor by using color. You could create a sunny interior by using shades of yellow. You could paint the walls yellow and use sky blue and grass green to complete the image. And a natural look wouldn’t be complete without some ceramic accents and hints of white and neutral tones of beige, brown or grey.

But paint isn’t the only way to get a sunny interior. You can also create a lovely yellow living room design just by simply adding strong accent pieces such as the stripes, the drapes, the rug, the lamps, the pendants r the pillows. These are always simple ways of introducing color into a décor. Still, you don’t have to limit to this unique color. There are lots of great color combinations that include yellow such as blue, green, brown or the complementary purple. The classic yellow and blue combo is always beautiful. It’s the perfect combination of elegance and dynamism.

Also, since yellow is such a bright and happy but light color, you could create some strong color contrast by introducing dark tones of brown of black for the frames of the photos or for the artwork. The living room is a dynamic area of the house so it needs to be bright and inviting but also striking. For that, yellow is great but if you want to really make everything pop you should introduce some red pieces.The black and white is also great for any combo.{pics from bhg, Aja Thomas and 1,2,3}
