Thanksgiving is right around the corner. I’m sure you all have already planned what you are making (or eating!) and are starting to get things ready for the big day.
We always cook for 10 people and there is only ever 3 of us eating so there is always plenty of food, and it seems like no where to put it. This Thanksgiving wooden serving tray is the perfect addition to our Thanksgiving table to help create more room for all the glorious food we are bound to have.
This wooden slab serving tray adds a rustic feel to your Thanksgiving table. It is also easy to make, and you can find all the supplies you need at the craft store. We painted on a leaf pattern to our wood slab serving tray and used orange and gold paint to fill them in but you can easily customize the design and colors to fit your Thanksgiving theme.

Print out or draw a picture of a plain leaf to use as a stencil.
Step 2: Pencil
Using a pencil, stencil around the leaf onto the wood slab in various places.
Take your paint and fill in the penciled leaf on the wood slab. Feel free to use various colors or stick to only one. We made some of ours orange and some gold for a fun pop of color.
Optional: if you would like your wood slab serving tray to stand a little higher you can use a small piece of wood and glue it to the bottom of the tray using wood glue.
Your guests will loved to be served food on this wood slab serving tray! It is easy to make and uses minimal supplies so you can make is last minute if need be. I think it adds a fun and rustic touch to a table and looks great piled high with food!
