I didnot expect an uninhabited house to look so good. However, what Bruno Reymonddid is a work of art. It is actually a beautiful triplex with a great terrace, providing a wonderful view. The house is located in Barcelona and has everything you might think when you dream about a house. Everything was designed in such a way that the all the elements create a whole, the key word is “unify” and it says it all.
Starting from the use of white walls, the furniture pieces and even the textiles, everything emphasizes the light and the surrounding environment, which achieved the initial goal of this space that of creating an atmosphere that survives in time, no matter what. The absence of doors provides even more space and fluency at the same time and contributes to the general atmosphere of comfort.
The head of an elephant at the entrance is welcoming, although it may seem weird, as it is something you would not expect to see when you enter a house.
Thestaircase and the mirrored screen, the work of the Turkish company Megaron, exclusively for La Maison de L’ Elephant are only two of the aspects that draw your attention; the paintings on the walls and the art objects, the black and white photos, the African totems in white are in perfect harmony with the furniture.
The size of the rooms and the stairs are impressive, while the black and white tendency gives elegance to the space, the furnishings have a unique blend, which brings together different eras and continents. Everything is simple and complex at the same time, interesting and inviting.{found on nuevo-estilo}.
