These are the Good Boy lamps. What’s interesting about them is that you either love them or hate them. It’s not because they have a particular style that certain people enjoy and other detest but because of the message and image it sends. The Good Boy lamps showcase dogs of different shapes, sizes and breeds in their most intimate moment. For some people this image is very offensive while for others it’s bold and funny.

The Good Boy lamps were designed by an English artist who decided to approach a rather taboo theme. However, when you think about it, it’s basically the same thing as in the case of the poetry. Great artists such as Baudelaire or E. A. Poe decided to write not about what beautiful in life but about obscure elements and situations that most people perceive as ugly. It took us some time to realize that they were not crazy but very talented and brave people and it might take us a while to accept the fact that the Good Boy lamps are actually unique and worthy of respect.

In fact, the designer declared that the Good Boy lamp was originally designed to be featured in an exhibition on London Underground Stations. The lamp was then banned even before it got to be showcased, the reason being that it was too offensive. It takes the artist one month to create a lamp and there are currently less than 100 pieces all over the world. These are very bold and visually challenging items but they are also unique decorations.
