How many times when you were at work or in your office have you wanted to just lie down for a few minutes and recharge your batteries? It would have been nice to have a bed in there but the space probably didn’t allow you to do that. Well, what if you had a desk that had a bed incorporated in its structure?
This is the Desk Convertible Bed, a piece of furniture designed by Athanasia Leivaditou. It was designed as a space-saving piece for small homes and offices. The idea behind the concept is very simple: combining a desk and a bed and creating this multi-functional piece of furniture that could be used in small home offices but also in other spaces as well.
It would be a very useful thing to have whenever you have lots of work to take care of and not enough time to go take a nap. You can just use your desk for that. This desk actually reminds me of an episode from “Seinfeld” where George got someone to build him a niche inside the desk so that he could sleep at work. As It turns out, it was a very clever idea and it finally got put into practice. Of course, if you do use this desk at work, make sure you don’t get caught sleeping during work hours. It’s best to keep what’s underneath the desk a secret. After all, you wouldn’t want your colleagues to steal your bed.
