We know that there’s some time left until Christmas comes but most people already have everything prepared and some of them even finished decorating their homes. And there’s not that much time between Christmas and New Year so we thought it might be a good idea to show you some New Year decorating ideas. In this article we’re going to focus on a particular style: that of chalets. Chalets are usually very inviting and cozy and they feature a very beautiful décor.
In order to create an interior décor similar to that of a cozy chalet you have to keep in mind that there are certain elements that you have to include in your décor. These elements in this case are natural materials and soft natural colors. You can create some focal point in your décor and concentrate on those. Don’t exaggerate with the details. It’s best to keep it simple.
For that you could use decorations made from eco materials such as wood or rattan and use natural fiber thread from flax, hemp, jute etc. If you prefer the classic Christmas tree look you could use ribbons and matte ornaments.
Candles are always romantic and they also help create a very cozy atmosphere. Here’s how you can create some really beautiful candle decorations for Christmas but also for New Year. You can use things such as pine cones, twigs, sand and even coarse salt to simulate the snow. Use white candles and candle sconces in iron matte black, white or gray.
There are plenty of other options regarding cozy decorations for New Year’s Eve. Consider using white, red and brown and natural materials. You can also add dark blue, turquoise or green accents.
