Many years ago I had the privilege to visit a wonderful Scandinavian country, Sweden. It had remained for me the most beautiful and striking experience which has helped me to see the world with different eyes. I remember the moment I was invited to a Swedish family at home and how their type of house impressed me so much. Natural wood and white were the favorite and most common nuances I saw at them and at their friends’ houses too.
Simplicity and high quality was the main feature for their house. One of the things that I discovered there was the practical way used for everything they did there. Even more fascinating was to see that they were teaching their kids from kindergarten to adopt this practical way for everything.
This simple Scandinavian Interior in B&W reminded me of all these remarkable things. Its rooms keep the same combination of black and white nuances which is specific for most of the Scandinavian interiors. It is a simple, practical and warm place where the presence of natural elements completes this welcoming atmosphere. There are some plants, animal prints on cushions, furs on the armchairs and carpets of animal skins which can make you feel closer to nature and make you enter into a specific Scandinavian décor.
The classic kitchen and dinner table with some vintage elements like the classic candlesticks, massive wood dinner table make you think of the charm of some old times when everything looked so clean, very organized and elegant. Still there are also some modern items too like the lamps or some pieces of furniture which keep you connected to the real world you live in.{found on skonahem}.
