It’s become common knowledge that pallets are extremely versatile and that they can be used to make so many functional things. Lots of homes have furniture made of pallets but it’s not just about choosing this solution simply because it’s interesting and because it’s a trend. It’s also about being able to integrate the furniture into the décor and making blend in and stand out at the same time.
In the case of this apartment, the interior design couldn’t be more harmonious. It’s a tiny apartment that can be found in Prague, designed by SMLXL Studioand it has two levels. The rooms are not exactly spacious but they don’t seem tiny either. That’s because of the way the interior was designed. Notice that there’s a strong industrial vibe everywhere you look.
There are white brick walls everywhere and the pallet furniture only highlights this influence. In the open plan living area you can see the sofa and the seating units featuring black upholstery and white pallet bases. The color combination is nice and matches the overall décor.
The bedroom has a bed with a base also made from wooden pallets and it extends on the side in the form of pallet nightstands. All the rooms feature this classic black and white combination but they also all have a spark of color. In the case of the open plan living area, color is introduced through the dining chairs. Also, considering the fact that the décor is strongly industrial and that the wall are painted white and made of brick, the lighting plays an important role as it makes the room feel warm and inviting.
