You don’t have to be a master at glass blowing to create gorgeous tinted glass decor! There are several crafting products that make it easy to tint glass almost any shade you like! I’m going to show you how fun and easy it is to create two toned glass decor.

Step one: Pour a generous amount of Mod Podge Sheer Color in a clean glass bottle. Swirl the liquid around inside the bottle to coat all of it.
Step two: Turn the bottle upside down and let the excess liquid drip out. I like to leave the bottle upside down in a plastic container for at least an hour to drain as much excess lquid as possible.
Optional: To speed drying time, I place the bottles inside a cold oven and set the temperature to 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Let the bottles heat for twenty minutes, then turn off the oven and leave the bottles in there until they cool completely. Do not remove them while they are still hot or the abrupt change in temperature could make the glass less stable.
Step three: Use painter’s tape to mark the area of the bottle you want to paint. Protect most of the bottle with painter’s tape.
Step four: Pour a generous amount of glass paint over the exposed glass. Move the bottle around to cover the desired area with paint. Let the excess drip off, then let the paint dry for at least 24 hours. (I place a container under the bottle to catch the excess paint so I can use it later for another project.)
Step five: Use a craft night to trim around the edge of the tape. You don’t want to risk pulling the paint off with the tape! Once it has been cut, peel the tape off the bottle.
These beautiful two toned bottled make great decorative accent pieces! I think they look beautiful as is, but you can also fill them with flowers to create custom vases. Have fun crafting and creating with glass paint!
