The interior of this stylish Parisian apartment is rivaled only by the views out the windows of each room: The Eiffel Tower and the Seine. The apartment was designed by Rinck, a company known as the “ambassador of the French art of living” and the residence certainly exudes that indescribable Parisian flair in every room. Operating for nearly two centuries, Rinck has its own manufacturing workshops that create decorative arts, furniture and woodwork. Using their wealth of expertise, the firm’s designers transformed the third-floor space into a contemporary residence with Art Deco influences in a very short 6-month period. The new design reconceived the entire apartment, creating a residence that fits today’s lifestyles with rooms that have better flow and volume.

In addition to the large living room and dining room, the apartment has a kitchen called “service” for the staff, two master bedrooms and one guest bedroom with an adjoining room, accessible from the service entrance, which can serve as aa staff service room or a teenager’s room. Each bedroom has its own bathroom.

A master entrance features walls done in shades of warm taupe combined with a creamy white to magnify the height of the areas. There are pieces from galleries: Frédéric Saulou’s Habile console and Dimitry Samygin’s Arch Narrow Armchair from the Savannah Bay Gallery, as well as a resolutely decorative Alexandra pendant by Enrico Franzolini. The flooring is marble from Cascais, Portugal, set in a parquet pattern.

The entryway has French doors that lead into the main living space, which includes an oversized living room and a dining room. The area leading from the entrance to the dining room was opened by to create better flow and unify the space at the ceiling with moldings that carry through the elements found in the living room. The marble fireplace and the trumeau — the mirror and carved panel — were original elements that Rinck preserved

The large living room is set off by two large sliding vintage doors that the interior design firm restored. The main space is light-filled and soothing, furnished with low seating that puts the focus on the super large and dramatic suspension chandelier that is crafted from cotton percale designed by Rinck and hand made by craftsman in the south of France. The central collection of low tables also complements the lighting. The living room was enlarged by integrating much of the original entrance into the living space.

The small elements and a great deal of interest to a neutral space and allow the focus to be on other, more important elements. The way the long drapes frame the windows and the exquisite views are ideal.
