It’s important to have everything within reach when you’re cooking, cleaning the house or washing clothes. It makes things a lot easier. Laundry room shelves are especially useful to have. They let you nicely organize all your supplies and you cangrab anything you need with ease. Open shelves are very practical but they’re not the only type of storage you can have in the laundry room. Open shelves.

The best thing about open shelves in the laundry room is that they let you store and organize the things you use most often and keep them within reach. They’re always visible and right where you need them. Install open shelves above the counter or anywhere you think they’ll be most practical.

Pull-out drawers are not exactly practical for storing cleaning supplies but they can be great for other things. For example, you can hide laundry hampers in large, deep drawers or you can have a pull-out drawer shelf which you can use as an ironing board. Learn to be creative and to combine multiple functions.

Storage for baskets.

Baskets are very practical, especially in laundry rooms. Build a wall unit with rectangular open storage compartments so you can organize your baskets. Label them so you can easily find the item you need. A wonderful way of increasing the storage capacity of your laundry room shelves.

The space above the machine machine is probably the best area where you can install open shelves. If you store your everyday cleaning products there you don’t have to move around a lot when you’re doing laundry. It lets you save time and energy.

If the laundry room is small, avoid making it seem cluttered and cramped. Consider wall-mounted shelves instead of robust cabinets. They allow the room to feel more airy and spacious and they’re just as excellent for storing all sorts of things.

Hanging rods.

Consider installing hanging rods underneath the shelves or pretty much anywhere you think they can fit nicely. It’s a casual way of organizing your clothes and keeping them displayed. If you also have an ironing board in the laundry room, then it makes sense to have a hanging rod as well.

In case you don’t want to occupy an entire room with your laundry supplies and washing machine, you can fit everything behind closet doors in your bathroom. The washer and dryer can sit on the floor and you can have shelves or wall-mounted cabinets on top.

Built-ins.

Built-in storage spaces and amenities are a wonderful and clever way of saving space and making a room feel less crowded with furniture and all sorts of little things. Built-ins also make organization a lot easier. This leaves room for a few stylish touch-ups in the laundry room.

Basket shelves below the counter.

We mentioned how useful shelves can be above the counter. Well, as it turns out, they can be just as practical under the counter as well. But since it’s a little more difficult to always keep things tidy and organized down there, you should use baskets to make things easier for you.
