What can you do when there’s no more available floor space for storage? Usually you turn to the walls trying to find some extra space there but there’s also another solution which is often overlooked. We’re talking about door storage. You can use the inside of your bedroom door or the cabinet or pantry doors to add useful storage.
By adding shallow shelves to the inside of the pantry door you maximize your storage space. Use those compartments to store and organize jars, bottles and other small things.
In the pantry you can also use the doors to create storage space for your spices. Keep everything organized and easily accessible. The bigger items go on the big shelves and this way you have a system.
You can customize your pantry doors however you want. Shelves and containers that can be reorganized are the best kind. You can restructure them to make things fit and it’s all really simple.
But the kitchen pantry is not the only piece of furniture that can benefit from this storage solution. You can also use this idea for the bathroom cabinets. You can store things like lotion, shampoo and soap on the inside of the door and still have plenty of room inside the cabinet for your towels.
This is a similar example. The inside of the door is used for storing toothpaste, makeup, soap bars and other things while the inside of the cabinet is for the bigger items like linens and towels.
In the home office, you can use the door of the room or the doors of the cabinets and desk in lots of useful ways. For example, you can turn a door into a bookcase and have all your books nicely displayed without using up floor or wall space.
If you’re the crafty type and have rolls of wrapping paper and ribbon, use the door to keep these items organized and close at hand. You’ll always know to find them and you won’t have to stuff them at the back of the cabinet.
Depending on what needs to be stored, a door can be customized in lots of different ways. This one is the ideal ribbon storage solution. They’re all organized by color and can be easily used without having to dig through boxes.{found on barspaperpursuits}.
In a small bedroom, you can turn the door into a makeup station or you can use it to organize your outfit for the next day so you have everything ready in the morning. Of course, you can also use the door for scarf or show storage purposes.
