When redecorating or renovating a space, it’s always difficult to pic a color for the walls. This color is important because it provides the background for everything else and it also dictates the tone for the rest of the décor. A cheerful and inviting home is always defined by the colors used for the walls, even though other elements might be just as important. Let’s take a look at a few colors that might be suitable for such a décor.
Yellow is a very cheerful color, usually associated with the sun. It’s vibrant and dynamic and a very nice choice for summer décors. Yellow walls can sometimes be overwhelming so you can opt for accent walls or portions of the walls that you want to paint yellow. This color can be used for almost any room of the house.
This color is mostly suitable for the bedroom. It’s serene and delicate and perfect for creating a tranquil and inviting décor. Use it in combination with white for a stylish result or combine it with other more vibrant accents for a nicely balanced interior
Pink is another very cheerful color. It bursts with energy and this means it has to be used in small quantities otherwise it can become overwhelming. You can add stylish pink touches to your home by including pink accent details or floral elements in the décor. The walls can remain white if the rest of the design is nicely balanced.
Very fresh and vibrant, turquoise is one of those colors that will never go out of fashion. It looks especially beautiful when paired with white but it can also be combined with other colors as well. Depending on the shade you opt for, you can use turquoise in all the rooms of your home. You can have pastel walls in the bedroom and stronger accents in the other rooms.
Green is a very powerful color and it’s why it’s also difficult to integrate in most interior decors. But other shades such as soft green are perfect for bedrooms as well as for any of the other rooms. You can opt for soft green walls in combination with a white ceiling and you can also combine these colors with other pastels for a more dynamic effect.
Even though it’s a neutral and it’s an extremely simple color, white can sometimes be the answer to an elegant and chic interior décor. A white room is usually very bright and light and this gives it a sophisticated appearance but, at the same time, allows it to feel casual. White is also a very versatile color that can be combined with any other shade.
