Instructions:

Start by mixing together your plaster and orange dye in a cup/container you can ruin. I scooped about ½ cup of plaster and about 1 tablespoon of dye. Mix together then mix in about ¼ cup water. Try not to overwork it or else it will start drying out.

Pour the plaster mixture into the bottom of your silicone mold. Do not fill the mold up – we filled ours about ¼ of the way. Let dry for 1 hour.

Once your pumpkin has fully dried, pull out your pumpkin, keeping it face down, and rest it on the top of your silicone mold so that the hook can hang in one of the holes of the mold while laying flat on the back of the cement pumpkin. Place your hook so the hook is underneath the pumpkin and the part where you fasten the hook to the wall is sticking out the top of the pumpkin (see second picture below).

Repeat step 1, mixing up another batch of plaster.

Gently pour the new plaster mixture on top of the hook, making sure not to knock the hook out of place. Cover the whole back in an even layer of plaster and try to smooth it out as much as you can (we used the back of a plastic spoon). Let dry for 1 hour.
