Easy, Children’s DIY Storage Ideas

Having children is one of the biggest joys in life, but the chaos and disorganization that comes with them isn’t. Keep the mess at bay by creating some simple, easy storage ideas that declutter and organize all their fun, everyday goodies. From their toys to their clothes, there are plenty of solutions in the sorting department. Let’s take a look!

1. Wall Baskets.

All you have to do is install these nifty little inventions. Use them to tuck away favorite bedtime stories or the smallest, most-played with of toys. It’s even a great idea to store hates or hair accessories!

2. Buckets & Zip Ties.

Create something a bit outside-the-box and fun with two simple ingredients: buckets and zip ties. It’s really a “what you see if what you get” type of project. Use it for toys or even to organize craft supplies for the little ones.

3. Magnet Strips.

Probably the coolest and most inventive storage idea I’ve ever come across. All you need are some magnet strips to make this happen. Then, stick your kiddos’ favorite cars right to it. It’s a funky way to display the best of the best and makes it super easy to grab and go for playtime.

4. Recycle Bins.

These are literally recycle bins, with a bit of vintage style. Attach some wheels to the bottom for ease of movement and voila, you’ve created a super easy, and stylish way to store everything from books, games or blankets.

5. Animal Jars.

Probably the most fun project of the bunch. Grab some plastic animals, spray paint and jars. Then, start to color and glue. They’re cute, playful and perfect for storing art supplies that get a bit too messy in and around the playroom. They’re also great for jewelry too!

6. Spice Racks.

Yes, spice racks. All you need are some inexpensive pieces to display and organize your child’s favorite read along stories. You can even spray paint them and add your own accents for personalization.

7. Sack it.

Grab it and go! These cute sacks are not only an easy way to store things like Legos, blocks and even balls but they’re also a great way to pack up and take to Grandma’s house!

8. Candy Canisters.

Usually used to organize kitchen ingredients like sugar and flour, or to display your favorite candies, these canisters are also a fun ways to organized everything from crayons to doll clothes.

9. Some Pipes.

Another super creative ways to store all those Hot Wheels cars or craft supplies, use PVC pipe! Make an artsy design on the wall that acts not only as storage but some stylish texture as well. Then, fill it up with whatever needs to be kept at bay.

10. Closet Ease.
