Thanksgiving Day is quickly approaching which means that your to-do list, is probably getting longer and longer. Mostly likely your focus is on getting ready for family and preparing that fabulous meal, however, have you thought about your table yet? You’re table whether big or small is the drop back to that delicious and gorgeous meal that you starting making the night before. Adding a bit of Thanksgiving Day flair to your table is a great way to make the entire experience more unique. Since seating arrangements can sometimes be awkward during the holidays, today I will be showing you how to make some last minute pumpkin pie slice place cards!
The pumpkin pie slice place cards that I will be showing you today, are not only easy to make but are also inexpensive to make. Within this DIY I included a template for the pumpkin pie slice pieces I made in this tutorial. The pumpkin pie slice pieces themselves are designed to go on a 2 inch clothespin and are on the smaller size. However, you could enlarge the template to make the pumpkin pie slice pieces bigger, if that is the look you are going for. To get the template for this project, simply click on the link in the supply list.

Step 1: Cut out your pumpkin pie template. Then trace each template piece onto the right color paper and cut out each piece.
Step 2: Grab your orange and white paper pieces and slide each piece through your Xyron 1.5” Sticker Maker.
Step 3: Combine your pumpkin pie pieces together. However, before combining them, make sure you rub each paper piece while it’s on the Xyron Sticker paper. That way, you’ll be creating a really strong adhesives backing. In this case, you will want to add your orange piece on top of the brown piece and then the white piece on top of the orange piece.
Step 4: Apply some hot glue to the front of your clothespin with the ”clamp side” facing up. Then press your pumpkin pie slice into the glue before it dries. Keep repeating this process until your have made all of your pumpkin pie slice clothespins.
Step 5: Grab your yellow scrapbooking paper and cut out a rectangle. Then take your letter stamps and ink pad, and begin stamping the person’s name onto the paper rectangle. Keep repeating this process until you have made all of your name cards.
Once you’re done creating your name cards, you’re ready to add them to your pumpkin pie clothespins!
I love how these place cards turned out! I especially like that they can stand up on their own and are not too overwhelming as a whole.
As previously mentioned, you can adjust the size of the template to fit your table décor needs. Along those same lines, you could change out the colors of the paper as well, to create any type of pie that you wanted. For example, you could make an apple pie slice or a cranberry pie slice. With that being said, you could also adjust how you create the actual name cards. In this case, I went with stamps but you could also use letter stickers or simply just hand write the name!
If you made these name cards, would you make a pumpkin pie slice or another type of pie slice?
