Supplies you’ll need to craft a snow globe:

glass jar with lidmini trees and/or figurinessuper glueglitterdistilled or bottled waterglycerinstick, spoon or straw to stir(optional) ribbon to embellish the finished project

Instructions step by step to build a cool snow globe decoration:

Step 1: Create a scene

Start by arranging your scene for your snow globe on the inside of the lid. Check to make sure that the length and width of whatever you are using will fit inside the jar. When you have arranged your scene to your liking, glue down with super glue and let dry for the time indicated on the back of the bottle of glue.

Step 2: Fill mason jar

Fill your jar about 3/4 of the way full with the bottled or distilled water.

Step 3: Add special ingredient

Add a “dash” of glycerin to the water to help your glitter or “snow” fall more slowly.

Step 4: Glitter

Place glitter into the jar (as much or as little as you would like but keep in mind that a little bit goes a long way in a small jar!

Step 5: Mix

Using a straw, stick or spoon mix up the glitter, glycerin and water. This will allow you to test how fast or slow your glitter is falling. If it is falling quickly you can add a touch more glycerin if needed.

Step 6: Add more water

When your glue is dry on the top of the lid, screw it down on to the jar and flip over. Add a little more water if needed if you feel that your globe is too empty. You may want to do this part over the sink in case you add too much water and it gets messy!

Clean off the outside of the globe and add a little ribbon to the bottom of the jar if you want to embellish it! Shake it up and watch your snow fall over and over again!
