Are you ready to trya new DIY project? This time, we will be dressing up mirrors in a fun and creative way! One of my favorite interior design tricks isdecorating with mirrors. They are not onlystylish, they are very functional– they reflect light, making each little corner of a room feel brighter and lighter. In fact, I believe that the more mirrors we have at home, the better! How many have do you have?

Recently, I have really been intoround mirrors in all the possible sizes and forms, so I decided to create a special one for my space, adding a bit of geometrical edge and color. Whether it’s displayed by hanging or standing, the mirroradds a great decorative element to a plain corner, don’t you think? Seethetutorial below for details onhow I made it:

Here’s what you will need:

Small, round mirror (I used a table centerpiecemirror for this project)Painter’s tapeSpray paint in two colors. I used black and pink because I think this combination looks great, however you can get creative with your own color combination —just make sure the colors match your space!

Instructions:

Before you start, make sure your mirror is clean anddust-free. Place a piece of painter’s tape acrossthe surface, marking off a section that is about about one-thirdof the mirror.Cover the rest of the mirror’s surface with paper to make sure that you don’t getpaint on it.

Spray paint the sectionwith black. You might need to spray two coatsto get areally smooth and neat finish. Wait for the paint to dry completelybetween coats.

DIY Design Inspired Mirror Step 2

Gently remove the painter’s tape. Place another piece of tape across theadjacent side of the mirror, at roughly a 90 degree angle from the black section you just painted.Cover the remaining surface with paper and spray paint the sectionwithyour second color — I used pink. Wait for the paint to dry completely andagain remove the tape.
