Concrete is an incredibly versatile material that can be used in a variety of projects, both large and small. This project is fairly small, but it’s also pretty simple and can add a touch of trendy industrial style to your home decor. Here’s how you can make your own concrete painted candle holders.

Mix your concrete with water according to the directions on the package. You can add slightly more water if you want the top to be more smooth than the ones shown. But I like the jagged look so I stuck with the traditional mix. You can also buy concrete in different shades or even use some coloring mixture to make sure it matches with your decor. Once it is all mixed together, pour the mixture into plastic cups. Just fill up about 5 or 6 centimeters of the cup.
Directly after you pour the mixture into the plastic cups, take your small tealight candles and press them in the center of the mixture. Do not press it all the way down, but most of the sides of the tealight holder should be covered.
Now you just have to wait for the concrete to set. Wait times can vary depending on what type of mix you used and how much water you added. Just pay attention to the directions on the package and when you think it’s time, take a small tool and check to make sure it is completely dry
Then you have to remove the concrete from the cup. Tear or cut around the sides of the cup so that it comes off easily. Make sure all of the sides are completely dry. If you don’t want to paint the sides of your candle holder, you’re basically done!
This step is optional, but adds a little bit of interest to the project. If you’d like, take your candle holders outside and place them upside down on the ground or on some paper or cardboard. Paint around the sides of the concrete until they’re covered. This will ensure that the sides and the top of your candle holder are different colors, adding a bit of visual interest to the project.
Then all you need to do is let the paint dry, bring the candle inside, light it, and enjoy! It’s a very simple project but one that can make a big statement in your home.
