There’s also the option of choosing to have more than just a sofa and an armchair. This living room doesn’t even seen as narrow now that it has been filled with cozy furniture. The sofa was placed in the middle of the room and surrounded by armchairs, ottomans and stools. It’s an expanded sitting area and the color palette mostly focusing on earthy tones contributes to the inviting and comfortable atmosphere.

One way of dealing with a long and narrow room is to place the furniture perpendicular to the length of the room. For example, this living room features two loveseats facing each other and organized around a coffee table.
