Decorative wall panels come in a lot of different styles, sizes, shapes and materials and we’ve put together a list of some of out favorite models for you to be inspired by. They transform simple decors into extraordinary spaces with a lot of character.
We’ll start with a very cool and elegant design which defines the Atton Vitacura hotel from Chile. It was all possible thanks to the beautiful decorative wall panels created by Masisa, a company that specializes in the production of wood boards of all kinds. As you can see, the design is very eye-catching and the panels give the lobby a forest-inspired look.
This is how one of the conference rooms of the Ienova Corporate Offices was separated from the rest of the spaces bySordo Madaleno Arquitectos when they remodeled the 24th and 25 floors of a building in Mexico City. As you can see, the panels that double as dividing walls are not uniform and feature a series of glass inserts which visually connect the space while also establishing an eye-catching pattern.
The wood single panels you see here were used by Ippolito Fleitz Group when designing the office of the Bruce B./Emmy B. agency, located in Stuttgart, Germany. The panels were used to decorate the walls in the reception area and they make the space look really inviting and charming.
The decorative wall panels don’t always cover the entire wall, although that’s often the case. These panels stand out and not just because they’re small. Their most important characteristic is the fact that they absorb sound. They’re created by Wobedo Design, a Swedish company, and they come in a lot of different shapes which can be mixed and matched as pleased.
These four decorative panels take up pretty much the entire wall in this modern bedroom. They’re upholstered in fabric and they’re role in as much decorative as it is practical. The cool thing is that the panels double as an oversized headboard. At the same time, they create this abstract, geometric design and introduce an accent color to the room. This is a bedroom designed by Shamsudin Kerimov.
It seems that bedrooms and decorative wall panels go well together. This is a design crated by Archiplastica which features an accent wall covered in geometric wood panels and integrated hidden LED lighting which highlight the various forms of the panels and at the same time create a cozy mood in the room.
Here’s another example that shows the cool and stylish nature of decorative wall panels when used on accent walls. This time it’s a modern bedroom with not one but two accent walls. They’re both covered in geometric panels that fit together like pieces of a puzzle. They’re featured in two colors, wood and black. {found on behance}.
This is the bedroom of an apartment designed byGunay Abbasov. It has its own accent wall covered in wooden panels. The panels are square-shaped and juxtaposed in a really cool way, featuring a few strips of LED light that highlight the depth and beauty of the whole composition. There are a lot of stylish designs that can be created based on this model.
