I’m not going to lie – pink and teal have been a favorite color combination of mine since I was a child. I even requested pink and teal painted furniture as a kid, which I still have in storage for my own children someday. I think these colors are so popular because they are incredibly bright, energetic, and fun to put in a room. They are an especially great choice for the summer months because they are bold and cheerful, perfect for long summer days.
We hope the photos below will inspire you to include these happy colors in your home, whether you paint a wall, reupholster old chairs, or purchase a few punchy vases or trays to include in your décor. Either way, you can’t go wrong with a little added pink or teal in your home. See some examples below.
This room has such great character because it represents a mix of styles and patterns. The traditional bedspread provides a stark contrast to the almost retro 70’s style bright rug. A deep teal mat on the framed picture above the bed provides a pop of color and coordinates well with the other accessories in the room.
This sea inspired room features deep teal walls that give this room a dramatic appeal. The colorful pillows are filled with great tones including many neutrals. The hot pink coffee table is refreshing and helps to bring out the paint colors in the modern art on the wall.
This room has paler tones of teal and pink that are represented in a unique stenciled wall and traditional floral pillows. Artsy lamps and accessories help to complete the look of this eclectic living room/office combination.{picture found here}.
Another room with a light turquoise/teal accent is featured above. The pale pink walls and even pale lime green pillows provide a great backdrop for those cooler tones. Additionally, the dark color of the bed and the zebra rug help to ground the space and provide some contrast to the lighter colors.
I love this room because it’s filled with bold design choices like the unique mirrored wall art and the gorgeous reupholstered chairs. The deep teal color on the walls complements the hot pink curtains for a bright and fun look that’s welcoming to come home to.
Incorporating these colors into your home doesn’t have to be as dramatic as painting an entire wall. As shown in this photo, you can purchase a few simple accessories like vases and flowers to bring color into your home. You can even mix styles like this designer, who placed traditional chairs with more contemporary accessories.{picture found here}.
Ultimately, the pictures above show that pink and teal make a great color combination because they are both bold, bright colors that fill a room with personality. Whether you incorporate these colors a little or even a great deal, you won’t be disappointed to wake up and see these in your home.
