I love to pair natural items with a bit of shimmer and color, and that’s what I did with this fall wreath project. I combined bark edged wood round pieces with gold shimmer spray and fabric flowers to make this pretty fall themed wreath. Create rustic charm for your home by adding this round wood cut wreath to your front door. It’s simple and fun to make!

Step one: Using a large dinner plate as your guide, arrange the round wood cuts in a circle shape. Leave a small gap (a little less than one inch) between each round piece.
Step two: Overlap more round wood cuts onto the first circle that you made in step one. Place the wood rounds over the gaps left in step one. Use wood glue to attach the rounds over the bottom circle of wood rounds, and let the glue dry completely.
Step three: Mist the wood wreath with gold shimmer spray. Let the paint dry completely.
Step four: Cut a 14 inch length of burlap, fold the edges under, and pinch the strip in the center. Tie the center with a piece of string. Hot glue the burlap to the bottom portion of the wood wreath.
Step five: Hot glue an artificial bird’s wreath under the burlap strip.
Step six: Cut flowers and leaves from an artificial bunch. Hot glue the flowers around the wood nest.
I opted to leave the nest empty, since the birds have all flown away. You could fill the nest with acorns or leaves for fall if you like. Have fun crafting and creating this fall wreath for your home decor!
