It’s easy to assume that, with enough money, you can have a huge home anywhere in the world. However, space is limited, especially in major cities. So you might not be able to get a home as huge as you wished it would be but money can get you something else: a swimming pool with a floor that rise up to completely cover it so you can use that space for something else.

This system costs £500,000 and was designed for luxury homes with limited space to expand. Here’s how it works: by simply pushing a button you can have the pool floor rise up in 15 minutes. It then covers the pool completely and fills the gap and the entire floor in that particular zone becomes ready to be used as a dining space, party venue or anything else you want.

It’s like having an extra room which can either be your indoor pool room or something completely different once you hide all the water. But that’s not the only benefit. The pool floor can be raised to any height so you can make it safe for the children to play or comfortable for aerobics and other activities. This completely changes the flexibility offered by swimming pools and adds a whole new dimension to their design.

During the 15 minutes it takes the floor to reach the ground level all the water remains inside and the filtration system functions normally and continues to do so even after the pool is no longer visible. So far the system was fitted in the UK, France and the U.S.{found on dailymail}.
