We usually don’t even think twice before throwing out used plastic bottles. But did you know there are a lot of great projects you can do with them? Plastic bottles are incredibly versatile and can even be turned into cute and stylish accessories for your home and garden.

For example, look at these cute kitty planters. I bet you wouldn’t have noticed they’re made of plastic bottles unless we pointed that out. They’re made by cutting out the bottom portion of the bottles and painting it white. Then a marker is used to add the little details.

The tops of the plastic bottles can be turned into plasters too and they look pretty cool here, hanging from the ceiling. As you can see, yellow paint was used to give them a makeover.

You can even make your own vertical garden using plastic bottle planters. You can give them different-colored lids and keep the rest simple.

To keep the plants fresh you can remove the lids and place the newly-crafted planters in water so they stay hydrated. A great idea to keep herbs fresh for a long time.
