Chandeliers are anything but boring. They demand attention to any space and add a whole lot of style to even the more unsuspecting places of the house. Just be sure when choosing a chandelier you realize that your choosing for decorative purposes and not functionality. So, if you need something with great lighting, steer clear of the chandelier! But, if you need something to spruce things up and create a focus to any corner or crevice … add some sparkle and shine with these beautiful light fixtures! First, take some of these ideas and decide what you’d like to try out for some special part of your home.
1. Over the bathroom tub.
It’s unsuspecting, whimsical and romantic … and definitely dramatic. Hanging a chandelier over a lazy tub will surely make those relaxing bubble baths that much more relaxing and a whole lot more stylish. The dimmer lights and sparkle are perfect for private spaces like these.
2. Over the kitchen island.
Use some cute mini chandelier to perk up the kitchen! Placing them above the island just gives more light for prepping dinner and decorating cookies … not to mention adds to your kitchen’s personality and theme.
3. Over the bed.
Another place for a chandelier to add some romance … over the bed! Instead of using a dramatic headboard, do something more subtle and add a beautiful chandelier in the mix.
4. Over the side tables.
We’ve already established that using a chandelier over the bed in a bedroom was a great idea for aesthetic reasons, but you don’t necessarily have to hang it over the bed to get the same effect. You could also mix things up and hang them in a more unsuspected place like over the side tables or just somewhere in the corner!
5. Over the dining room table.
Let’s be honest, the dining room is an obvious option as to where to hang a chandelier. But, if you decide to use a chandelier that’s a little outside the box you’ll create something different than the usual, dramatic and conservative ethos a typical chandelier may add.
6. Over the baby’s nursery.
To add a little vintage appeal add a chandelier to your baby’s nursery! It’s sophisticate but the dimming lights will definitely add a little relaxation to the room.
7. Over the hallway.
Make your walk from room to room a bit more interesting. Hang a chandelier or two above your path to light the way in a fashion-forward style.
Now take a look (and drool) over these beautiful places, spaces and chandelier locations. Grab some inspiration and start your search for the perfect nook (or cranny) for your new chandelier!
