Calendars are very common and used items in all types of homes, regardless of the interior design. They are very versatile and they can adapt their design to any décor. We have selected seven variants that we find particularly creative and beautiful. Choose the one that better suits your home and get to work!

1. A paint sample calendar.

This is a customizable design and it’s easy and fun to make. The supplies required are a frame, paint samples in the colors of your choice, a poster board for the background and glue. Start by trimming the chosen colors to the size you want. The labels for the days of the week should preferably be smaller than the calendar days. Then trim the poster board to fit the frame. Next, glue the paint samples to the poster board place it inside the frame.{found on chicisms}.

2. Vintage journal-style calendar.

This is another fun project but the design that’s based on is very different from the traditional calendar we all know. To make this one you’ll need a fruit box, 12 postcards, 180 lined index cards measuring 4 x 6’’, date stamps and a paper cutter. First cut the index cards in half. Then stamp the months and the date on each card. This may take a while. Next, trim the postcards to the same width of the index cards. They should be a little longer than those as well. Organize them by date and you’re done.{found on designsponge}.

3. Christmas tree calendar.

This version is a very fun project for the month of December. It’s a creative model and it’s also very easy to make. All you need is a wooden board, clothes pegs, tape, paint, glue, a star and a white marker. The process is quite simple. Just create a symbolic model on the board using tape to guide you. Then apply tape to the clothes pegs and attach them to the board using glue. They should be placed in the shape of a Christmas tree but you can also come up with other ideas as well. The star goes on top of the tree. Each pin parks a day of the month. Add a small present each day and fill your tree with goodies.{found on stylizimo}.

4. Wall calendar/organizer.

If you have a wall that needs a makeover then this could be an interesting idea. It’s a calendar that takes up an entire wall and that also serves as an organizer. To make one you’ll need a foam roller, some tape and chalkboard paint. First establish the wall you want to use, measure it and decide on how you will organize it. Then use tape to divide it and apply chalkboard paint to the wall. After it’s dry remove the tape.

5. An instagram calendar.

This is a calendar that you can personalize with photos. To make one you’ll need 12 subject images, a plain poster board, a mini-calendar, scissors, glue and yarn and decorative paper. First trim the calendar pages to the size you want and cut out 13 square piece of poster board. Glue down the photo images and the calendar pieces. Add holes to the top portion of the calendar and use yarn to hold it together. It’s simple and fun.{found on abeautifulmess}.

6. A different kind of journal calendar.

This is another version of the journal calendar features on no. 2. This one is a more stylish model, also with a vintage look. It was made using a vintage recipe box and 3’’ x 5’’ index cards. It has a card for each day of the year. You can write something each day and it would make a great memory. It might take a while to stamp each index card but it’s something you can do while watching movie so it wouldn’t be so boring.{found on witandwhistle}.

7. Canvas calendar.

This last project is a little more complex. At first you need to paint a 16’’ x 20’’ canvas in a color of your choice (in this case a sandy color). Use four pieces of ribbon to make five rows and another six pieces to make seven columns. Use straight pins to keep them in place. Trim the pins in the back and hot glue the ends to the back of the canvas. Add pieces of paper with the names of the months and attach them using scotch tape. Do the same thing for the numbers.
