With fall being right around the corner that means it will be time for you to start burning all those yummy smelling fall candles. However once those candles are all burned, what can you do with the candle jars? Well, today I’m going to be showing you 3 simple ways to upcycle those candle jars into fall-inspired home décor!
Before we hop into the 3 DIYs I wanted to briefly talk about removing the wax from your candle jar. Since we are using candle jars, the candle jars themselves need to be clean and wax free before using them in the DIYs. Depending on how much wax is left in your candle jar, the cleaning of the jar could either be easy or a bit difficult. If you’re wanting to use a candle jar that still has a good amount of wax in the jar, then check out this post to learn how to remove wax from your candle jar. Once your candle jars are all clean, you’re then ready to begin upcycling them!

Step 1: Pour paint inside of your candle jar and mix it around in the jar. Once the inside of your jar is completely covered, set it aside to dry.
Step 2: Grab your ribbon and wrap it around your candle jar, to get an idea of how much ribbon you will need. Then cut off that amount of ribbon and run it through your Xyron 1.5” Sticker Maker.
Step 3: Once you have run the ribbon through the Xyron 1.5” Sticker Maker, rub the top of the sticker paper. Then peel the ribbon off the sticker paper and wrap it around the top of your candle jar.

I think these candle jars turned out really cute! My favorite candle jar would definitely be the Fake Leaves one. After you upcycle your candle jars, you can use them for several different things. In the photos above, I used my candle jars to display fall leaves, hold colored pencils, and hold a plastic tea light. However, you could use your candle jars to store loose change in, hold your car keys, or have it be a small candy dish!
