The wine rack is mostly seen as an accessory for the house but it’s in fact a very practical and functional thing to have. Wine rack designs vary very much and they come in all sorts of forms and sizes. The most appreciated ones and those that don’t take up a lot of space and the wall-mounted ones. Let’s take at these 10 designs and see what they have to offer.

As mentioned, wall-mounted wine racks are very appreciated and that’s because they’re space-saving and also very practical. They take no floor space and they can be installed just about anywhere. Preferably, choose a wall that would normally remain empty.

The dining room is a very good place to have a wine rack. To save space and to also provide an interesting design for the room, you could opt for a wine rack similar to this one. It has a very simple construction and it also has a big impact on the décor.

If you’re a very determined collector or you simply have to have lots of bottles of wine in your house for some reason, then a simple wine rack wouldn’t be enough. You’d need something more complex and much more impressive. This one seems about right.

Not all wine racks have compact designs such as the ones seen above. These two, for example, seem to organize the bottles in a random pattern. It’s definitely an interesting approach but I would constantly try to create symmetry there so I wouldn’t be able to actually enjoy the design.

Horizontal wine racks appear to be taking a lot of space. Vertical ones don’t have this problem, although they space they occupy is the same. A vertical wine rack is much easier to integrate in a sitting room’s design and décor.

Geometric designs and patterns are very popular in modern and contemporary interior design so this type of wine racks is often seen in such spaces. Smaller wine racks with similar designs are also available.

The staircase walls are wonderful for both storing and displaying things. In this case, zig-zag shelves were installed and they serve as storage compartments for the wine bottles. It’s a very interesting and very practical idea.

You could treat the wine rack as a piece of artwork or a decoration. In this dining/ living room, for example, the wall-mounted wine rack is just another interesting accent piece displayed on the wall.

Here’s another similar example. In this case, the whole décor of this living room is focusing on geometric shaped and forms and on bold combinations of color. The wine racks fit well in the design and they were beautifully placed away from the main focal point of the room.

This is another interesting way in which you can use the staircase wall for installing wine racks or other type of storage. These sleek and horizontal wine racks are embedded into the staircase wall’s structure and, in a sense, they match the stripes on the rug.
