Making hand-painted mugs seems like something a child would do. But it’s actually a great way of personalizing a mugs and it’s also a very nice idea for a gift you might like to give to a close friend. Here’s another great way in which you can customize a mug. You’ll need tape and chalkboard paint. Use the tape to create a straight line that will separate the painted area from the rest of the mug. Striped mug.

If you like stripes then you should use them. Here’s how you can make striped mugs: you’ll need white coffee mugs, porcelain paint in the colors of your choice, a thin paintbrush and a cup of water. Pour a little paint into a disposable plate and dilute it with water. Then paint the stripes on the mug using the paintbrush. Let it dry for 24 hours. With a gold-leaf pen you can personalize your mugs and also give them a chic new look. Here’s another nice example of a chalkboard-painted mug. As in the case of the already presented project, for this one you’ll need a white mug, masking tape, black chalkboard paint and a paint brush. Tape around the top of the mug and make a straight line. Then paint beneath that line and apply a few coats of chalkboard paint. Remove the tape and let it dry. This last project is as simple as it gets. You just need a sharpie and a mug. You can give them cute makeovers in just a few minutes. Instead of a mug you can also use any porcelain dish.
