Solid wood doors always have a strong presence and a lot of character, whether you use them for the entryway or inside the house to separate and enclose various spaces. Extremely durable and resilient, these doors also have a natural elegance which makes them stand out. Whether you choose to expose the grain or paint over it, a solid wood door or one with glass insets, you’ll always manage to let them warm up the atmosphere with their beautiful charm.
Even though interior doors which are painted white can look hospital-like, we find them really charming and chic. A white wooden door can blend in or stand out, depending on the rest of the color palette and, either way, it looks beautiful.
The neutral color scheme and seamless transition from warm wood to cool gray makes a space ideal when it comes to introducing white interior doors. They may look simple but that’s the point.
In the case of spaces such as the bathroom or the bedroom, it’s usually preferred to show off the beautiful grain of the wood so a solid interior door would be great option. Let the door give the room a subtle warm hue and you can integrate that in a variety of decors.
Coordinate the door with a few other elements in the room. Perhaps the vanity could feature a similar look or the wall cabinet can take on that role. If the door is the only one showcasing its distinctive wooden features then the contrast would be a bit too strong.
An interior door with a rich, dark stain can echo the color and texture of the bed in the case of the bedroom for example. In this case, the door casing was left white and there’s a really great mixture of colors on that wall.
Similarly, the black door contrasts with the white trim here and the combination is classy, chic and really beautiful, especially given the subtle color used on the walls. A lovely way to coordinate the door and frame with the headboard and some of the accessories.
When you have a large hallway where several rooms meet, it’s often elegant to opt for identical interior doors in order to create a cohesive look throughout. Solid wood doors with a dark stain are a wonderful option in this case, especially when combined with the overall simple and basic color palette.
The interior doors and the windows coordinate wonderfully here. They both allow light to travel from one room to another and visually connect the spaces, allowing a smooth transition to be established.{found on smithandvansant}.
