Earthy Color Palettes
Mother Nature’s color schemes are always in style, but never more so than now. Designers and homeowners are gravitating toward warmer hues in an effort to infuse character into their environment. In particular, we’re seeing an upward trend in an earth-toned color palette of muddy green, burgundy, creamy whites, and shades of brown. This shift away from stark white extends beyond walls and onto other surfaces and materials around the home, including cabinetry, decor, and textiles. a minimal earthy bedroom with a built-in wardrobe, a bed with rust bedding, a metal nightstand and a black sconce

Warm Neutrals
There’s already a shift from stark whites and cool grays toward shades of beiges, rich browns, creamy off-whites, and other warmer neutrals. The evolution of Scandi-inspired design, from cool and minimalist to cozy and cocooning, informs an array of warm neutrals in 2024. Greys are being swapped for earthy beiges, contemporary off-whites and taupes that sit so well with the natural materials and modest decoration of Scandi homes.
Incorporate different tones, textures and patterns to create a more layered look that gives a room seasonal versatility. With these tones you’ll feel like you’re getting a warm hug walking into the space, as these warm neutrals create a cozy feeling. Although cooler tones have run their course, the color palette will still be light and bright. a beautiful and airy living room with textural grey walls and a stone tile floor, a low stained credenza, a tree stump and a low coffee table

Brown Renaissance
As ’90s neutrals were accurately predicted to replace drab gray tones in 2023, some of the same standout colors are poised to make an earthy splash this year. But browns are definitely happening—like really warm browns that might be a play on a 1970s palette, and those caramel colors, along with coral and persimmon. They’re specifically on the rise among our most loved categories including upholstery, painted cabinetry, art, tabletop, jewelry, and decor. Brown is a great color—it’s very warm and rich, and it’s actually a great neutral to layer with other colors. Beige and brown are on an upswing along with very muddy colors that have an 18th-century calmness to them—think earthy colors with less vibrancy and more richness. a jaw-dropping chocolate brown marble bathroom with a large mirror, a black soak tub and a shower space
